We are thrilled to announce that two of our GirlsUP Teen Board Members have been selected to serve a one year term on the Girl Up United Nations Teen Advisory Board. This is a prestigious honor which the United Nations bestowed on only twenty four girls worldwide this year. This year’s United Nations Teen Advisory Board is composed of girls from 14 countries across the globe, including Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Chile, Ghana, India, Kenya, Peru, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Turkey. Each of the 24 high school students selected holds a strong background in advocacy and a passion for social change. As a part of the UN Teen Advisory Board, our GirlsUP Girls will have the opportunity to raise awareness about the issues faced by their global sisters in some of the world’s most disadvantaged communities.
