Through our partnership with the Summer Academy of the New York Times, GirlsUP Senior Teen Board member Iman Al Said was selected to attend the prestigious program in New York City — and was awarded a full scholarship for her participation.

Iman enrolled in an opinion writing course, learning directly from New York Times journalists and exploring topics like the impact of fast fashion on identity.

Reflecting on the experience, she shared: “It was an amazing experience where I was able to learn so much about journalism, the media, and myself.”
